Women of the Church

The Women of the Church is a sustaining, helping, missionary organization dedicated to the vision of Northside Drive Baptist Church.

Meetings are generally held in the Fellowship Hall on the first Tuesday of each month.  Please see the program for specific information about each meeting.

Lunch is served following each meeting in the Fellowship Hall.  The cost is $4 per person.  Child care is available upon request.

Oct 7th            Andrew P. Stewart Baptist Center - Karol Vellines, Director

                                    An update on the Stewart Baptist Center (www.stewartcenter.org).

 

Nov 4th           Hands-on Project - No sew fleece blankets

                                    We will be making fleece blankets for our shuts-ins and new babies.

                                    If you can cut with scissors and tie a knot you can help make blankets.

                                    reaches out to children in need of medical assistance all over the world.

 

Apr 7th            Georgia Avenue Community Ministry - Chad Hale, Director

                                    The mission of the GA Ave. Community Ministry is to provide food

                                    in an affirming environment for neighbors in need. (www.gacm.org).

 

May 5th          Spring picnic and installation of new officers.

Caring for the Church Community


The WOC serves the church by
  • Providing food and other support for families in crisis
  • Coordinating a card and phone ministry
  • Serving as Church School Hostesses
  • Arranging and delivering flowers to the sick and homebound each Monday
