Music

  I will sing and make music with all my soul.
Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
For great is your love, higher than the heavens.
Psalm 108: 1b-5

The Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir, rehearsing weekly on Wednesday evenings and singing weekly in Sunday morning worship, is Northside Drive’s primary choral group.  This is a volunteer group of male and female singers who love making a contribution through music.
Song is the common voice of praise in the Christian church.  While the Sanctuary Choir sings anthems in worship on behalf of the congregation, its major role is to enable the great choir – the congregation – to lift up its voice in praise of God.  We invite you to join us in this ministry as we pursue the call in Psalm 150 "To make a joyful noise unto the Lord…".  You will not only be sharing your talent, but also enjoying the fellowship and care of this community as you grow both in your faith and musical experience.  If you have had choral experience in your past or simply have the desire to participate in this ministry, we will help you gain the skills to excel.  Come join us!

The Sanctuary Choir is directed by Paul Fletcher, Interim Director of Music Ministries.  It is an open group and does not require audition.

Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM in the Undercroft Choir Room.

Northside Drive Ringers

Northside Drive Ringers is Northside Drive’s adult handbell ensemble, ringing three octaves of Schulmerich handbells.  This group rehearses weekly and plays in Sunday morning worship several times throughout the year.  All are invited to join, but basic music reading skills are required.

Northside Drive Ringers rehearsals are held on Sundays at 5:00 PM in the balcony classroom.

For more information about the music ministry, please contact our music staff.

 The Music Ministry, through careful preparation and meaningful execution, seeks to nurture the congregation as we participate in the song of the Church.  The song which we are called to offer comes from our heart and plays to the heart of God.

Northside Drive is alive with the sound of music.  Music forms an integral part of all our worship experiences, and many of our special events are built around music.
