Christianity and the Environment

Presenters:  The faculty of Georgia Interfaith Power & Light

June 1         Purpose - What do the Bible and our faith tradition have to say about environmental stewardship?  Why should we care for creation?

June 8         Prayer - Prayer is an integral part of our faith life.  How does prayer fit into an environmental ethic and how can we use both individual and corporate prayer to connect us to God and God's creation?
June 15       Proclamation - Part of cultivating an environmental ethic is sharing it with others.  How can we spread the good news about caring for God's creation through word and works?
June 22       Policy - What policy issues are involved in addressing environmental degradation?  How should we as citizens expect our leaders to deal with issues of environmental justice?
June 29       Practice - What can we do, personally and as a congregation, to make our lives more environmentally sustainable?  How can we challenge ourselves to live out caring for creation as a moral responsibility?
