Northside Farmers' Market

Who We Are:

Northside Farmers' Market is a not-for-profit organization, creating an available and convenient venue for local products.  We enjoy celebrating the bounty of local foods and products season by season. Our market participants include local farmers and their families who use organic or other sustainable farming methods, small batch food producers and home-based businesses focusing on product craftsmanship.  All market participants grow, raise or produce all their market items in the local region.

Northside Farmers Market helps to preserve farmland for the future by providing regional small family farmers with opportunities to sell their fruits, vegetables and other farm products to Georgians and its visitors.  Our market allows direct interaction between growers and producers and their consumers and supports a fairer wage for small-scale farmers.

Vendors/Volunteers:

We are now in the process seeking local organic and sustainable farmers, artists, florists, food vendors, craftspeople, musicians, storytellers and volunteers.  Northside Farmers Market is actively promoting its holiday markets to the local community and through local publications and online.

Times:

To Be Announced in the Spring

Location:

Northside Farmers Market is located in the parking lot of Northside Drive Baptist Church, located at the corner of Northside Drive and Northside Parkway.  See the link to directions.  Free parking is available in the parking lot.  Look for the signs.

CSA Information:

We are offering local neighbors the opportunity to join in a CSA.  What's a CSA you ask?  Well, it's a program that connect local farms with local consumers.  Joining a CSA gives you direct access to local food that is usually picked within 24 hours of delivery.  It's the freshest you can get, unless you are growing your own garden!  This is a great way for you and you family to see what is grown right here in Georgia.

Consumers make a commitment for a specific period of time.  In this case, we are offering two options this spring.  Pick up will be at:   Northside Drive Baptist Church (at the intersection of Northside Drive and Northside Pkwy).

There are two subscriptions to choose from and below is a brief breakdown:

Farm Name:                A&J Farms          TaylorOrganic
Weekly cost:                      $35                          $40
Items in box:                Approx. 7/week         8-10/weekly
Delivery begins:           Mid-April                 Mid to late April
Pickup times:              Wed. after 5pm        Saturday after 8am

Specific CSA information is available in the attached files. You may join for a half or full share subscription.  Note that half shares are a little more than exactly half of what a full share receives.   An additional $7 per half share and $10 per full share will be charged for each subscription to cover material costs for the church.
