ADULT EDUCATION SUMMER SERIES

9:30 AM – 10:45 AM
Fellowship Hall
June 1–August 31, 2008

I. Christianity and the Environment

II. Victory and Peace or Justice and Peace?

III. Reflecting on Sudan/Darfur

"VICTORY AND PEACE" OR "JUSTICE AND PEACE"?

For four weeks this summer the combined adult classes will participate in a DVD-based study in which Dr. Crossan explores the juxtaposition of Roman Imperial Theology and the Kingdom of God. Crossan makes the point that if you don't get the theology of the first century right, you can't possibly get it right in the 21st century.  His provocative description of the world into which Jesus was born provides context for a fuller understanding of Jesus' message, far beyond mere history.

Session information for Victory and Peace or Justice and Peace.
